The FCC's NG911 transition rules took effect on November 25, 2024, and Phase 1 compliance became mandatory for originating service providers as of March 25, 2025. Over 190 Phase 1 requests have been filed, covering parts or all of 28+ states and encompassing more than 2,200 PSAPs.
