5.0 out of 5 stars Nothing else comes close. The ONLY KVM to buy., July 19, 2013 by M. H. Schatzlein (Nashville)

I've struggled for years with KVMs that used generic mouse and keyboard drivers and wouldn't work with most mice, and KVMs that couldn't remember EDID so the displays were wrong after switching. All this solved in this device. 100 percent device mapping means the switch JUST WORKS. Use whatever mouse or keyboard you like, with its own driver. Reboot a machine while its video is not selected, and when you come back to it the resolution will be correct. If you gang two together for dual DVI, you must have a special sync cable, available only from the manufacturer. They could make these devices perfect by throwing one of those in each box. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best KVM Switch I've Used, July 8, 2013 by Tracy J.

This is the best KVM switch that I've used. It switches flawlessly between XP, Win 7, and Win 8. No issues with sharing a printer. I called ConnectPRO with a question about the power supply, and a live person answered the phone and addressed the question in less than a minute. BTW, you don't need to use the power supply. Very happy with the product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast switching, June 30, 2013 by rodster

I purchased 2 other KVM's and the delay between switching was 3 to 10 seconds (as if the computer was rediscovering the usb keyboard and mouse). This one switches instantly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pricing but does the job well, May 4, 2013 By Chuck

Well built, easy to set up and operate. When you want to only have one keyboard and mouse to operate two to four computers, this switch will do the job very well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does everything a DDM capable KVM should do! January 27, 2013 By E. Wolf

Aside from the initial sticker shock, this switch has met all of my expectations. For a very long time, I had everything on a 4 port PS/2 and DSub switch because I really didn't care for the switching times due to constant re-enumeration of USB/DVI switches. When I built a new computer, it had no analog video out option nor PS/2 for keyboard and mouse. DDM technology, which maintains the connection between USB peripherals even when the connection is switched to another device, means I don't have to wait for all USB devices connected to re-enumerate when switched, and this unit does it fast and efficiently. I also like that I don't have to listen to the high pitched "beep" when I switch as it gets very old for your average power user, and the customize-able hotkeys are a plus as well. So far I am highly impressed and this switch has worked without fail.

One minor complaint that others have noted: Only one computer that I have hooked this switch up to has been capable of mating with the supplied DVI-I single link cables. They include a DVI-I to DVI-D adapter, but since the other two computers have HDMI connectors instead of DVI, which is quickly becoming "the norm", I had to order more DVI-D to HDMI and generic DVI-D cables as well as USB cables. I *like* that they supplied the cables and I realize that the manufacturer can't anticipate every possible hardware combination being used with this switch, but the common DVI-D cable would have been preferred over the DVI-I cable. You can mate a DVI-D cable to a computers DVI-I interface, but the opposite is not true, and if my computer is carrying digital video out, why would I bother with an analog carrier to the monitor through the switch anyway?

Bottom line is that I would still highly recommend this switch, even with the minor cable annoyance and it's not even enough of one to knock it a star because they are very clear about the contents. I knew what was included ahead of time. It's a solid performer!

5.0 out of 5 stars Works Perfectly, December 14, 2012 by Wayne C. (Texas)

I needed a switch that works with my new Logitech Keyboard and Mouse, which have a unifying receiver. This thing replaced my Iogear, which doesn't work at all with the Logitech stuff. This thing works perfectly! I switch between Windows XP and Windows 7 and the switch is instant with the DDM. It's expensive but well worth it because it works. I have only had it a month and just hope it doesn't die in a year for that price.
